AJKSOSDEA demands release 6th pay commission arrears | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 12:A joint meeting of the representatives of All J&K Stationery and Office Supplies Department Employees Association (AJKSOSDEA) was held under the leadership of their president Babu Hussain Malik. All the representatives in one voice urged upon the state government to clear the roadmap for the payment of arrears of 6th pay commission as agreed by the cabinet Sub Committee headed by Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rather during negotiations held at Srinagar on May 15. Malik said that the three month’s time period fixed by the government for announcement of payment of arrears has lapsed but no concrete roadmap has been drawn by the state government. Prime Minister of India during his recent visit to the state has also indicated that sufficient funds will be provided for the payment of arrears. Members of the association also urged upon the state government to issue orders regarding the removal of Pay anomalies in case of cadre as promised by the pay anomalies committee headed by eFinance Minister. Malik warned the state government that further delay in removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre and payment of arrears will complicate the matter and the employees will be forced again to come on the streets. Members of the association also expressed great shock on the loss of lives and property during the recent cloud burst in Leh and demanded an immediate relief package for the sufferers.
