| RS Pura tehsil gheraoed , protest against Tehsildhar held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RS Pura,Aug 12: Hundreds of people of the RS Pura along with two sitting MLAs ghaeroed RS Pura tehsil and held protest demonstration against the tehsildhar RS Pura Iqbal Singh.Shouting slogans against the revenue department they alleged department has become a hub of corruption because of contribution of such employees. People also demanded suspension of the tehsildhar Iqbal Singh who they alleged promoting corruption. The incident of protest demonstration occurred when tehsildhar RS Pura along with inspector of evacuated department allegedly went to the Geeta Bhawan Ashram site in the area and demanded money from mahant Prakasho for the construction of a temple. When mahant refused to pay he was thrashed by them. MLA RS Pura Garu Bhagat and MLA Suchetgarh Shyam Choudhary while speaking to the media persons informed. The protestors were pacified only when SDM RS Pura Ashwani Khajuria assured them of their demands to be apprised to the concerned higher officials. Protestors demanded revenue minister Raman Bhalla and Chief Minister Omar Abdullaha to initiate inquiry against the tehsildhar and recorded the statement of brick kilns of the area to know more fact regarding corruption. Among protestors prominent were ex councilor Om Prakash, ex councilor Satpal Bajarang Dal state president Kundan Sharma.
