Man, son, couple killed as car falls into gorge | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 12: Four persons, including a man, his son and a couple, were today killed after the Santro car in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a 200 ft deep gorge at Keila Morh near Ramban, about 200 km from here. The ill-fated car (JK13/9031) was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu. Police sources said the tragedy struck at about 5 pm when its driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve. There were a total of four persons in the car and all of them were killed instantly, the sources added. The dead were identified as Ghulam Ahmad Ganai, son of Abdul Rehman Ganai, his son of Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Abdul Rashid Ganai, son of Mohammad Subhan Ganai, and his wife Ameena, all residents of Chandra in Pampore, Srinagar. The car was being driven by Nazir Ahmad. Sources said the bodies, which had been taken out from the gorge, were kept in the mortuary of the Ramban district hospital. These would be handed over to their family members after they reached the hospital, the sources added.A case in this connection stands registered at the concerned police station.
