12 rescued by army from flash floods

Jammu, Aug 12: Twelve persons including eight children, who caught in flash floods, were rescued by army today. Giving information SP South Rajashwer Singh said that three persons identified as Abdul Rahi,Half Din and Abdul Hamid who caught in flash floods in Tawi in Belicharana area were rescued by army. They were collecting pebbles and sand at the bank when suddenly water level increased. He further said that eight other children caught in flash floods were also rescued by army through boat. The children were grazing their cattle in Phalayan Mandal area at the bank of Tawi, he added .One more person from Niki Tawi was also rescued by army in Guddu Chack area under the jurisdiction of Phalayain Mandal police station.
