Harsh Dev tours remote areas of Dudu Basantgarh

Former Minister and MLA Ramnagar Harsh Dev Singh held two days tour of remote and highly sensitive area of Dudu Basanatgarh block and interacted with the people of the area apprised himself of the latest security scenario prevailing in the area besides inspecting the developmental works.
Addressing a gathering at villge Punara, Singh greeted the people on the auspicious occasions of Diwali and Eid and lauded the people of the area for the communal amity and harmony maintained by them despite provocations and strikes by anti national elements in the recent past.
Reminding the union and state Govenments of the assurance given to the people of the area, Singh called upon the chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to fulfill his promise made to the people that on-spot recruitment of candidates of Basantgarh Block would be made in police department. He said that the Defence Minister had assured the construction of a road through Border Roads Organization under operation Sadbhavana from Basantgarh to Machdevi via Khaned but no action had been initiated even after a lapse of more than six months. He further reminded both union as well as state govts. of their promise of launching Mini Hrdro Electric Projects in Punara ans Sia Merri area on the basins of river Ujh.
He announced early commencement of construction work over Kangaloo-Pachound road as to provide connectivity to the remote habitants of Dudu Panchayat. He called upon the PHE deptt to take immediate steps to improve and augment the supply of drinking water besides covering the left over habitations of Raichak, Puanara and Shiv Gali. He called upon Electric Deptt. to immediate ensure priority electrification of Upper Balota. Punara besides other left over areas of the block.
At Dudu Kircli, he inaugurated the model village Pachound and inspected the on-going works. He announced construction of additional accommodations for various schools of Dudu Basantgarh Blck.
He distributed serving machines to the widows of militancy victims under scheme of Social Welfare Department. He further called upon the Social Welfare department to expedite the release of pensions to the eligible applicants.
