| Ace shooter Sandeep felicitated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Aug 15:
International Shooter Sandeep Singh Bandral was today honoured at District Police Lines Kathua by the district administration on the occasion of 64th Independence Day.
Sandeep was felicitated for his glorious and record breaking achievements in recent International shooting championship held in Singapore wherein he clinched 21st position out of the 194 participants from 24 countries across the world.
With this success, he got selected for the forthcoming European International Shooting championship to be held in October this year in Spain.
On the occasion students of 10th, 12th, and Final years of Graduation who topped in their respective education boards and university examinations were also felicitated.
Minister of State for Higher Education Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Member of Parliament Lal Singh and MLA Kathua Charanjeet Singh along with Deputy Commissioner Sanjeev Verma and SSP Kathua Garib Dass were present to appreciate the laurels brought by this young sports star.
Speaking on the occasion, Manohar Lal Sharma said that Sandeep Singh would be fully supported and encouraged to further sharpen his shooting skills.
District president of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party Ravinder Pathania, general secretary Pradesh Congress Committee Manohar Singh, and the chairman of the district Sports Association Sanjeev Verma also greeted Sandeep Singh for his remarkable achievements.
