Mother India appeals Kashmiri youth to shun violence | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 15: Mother India, an NGO, has expressed concern over the present scenario prevailing in the state particularly in Kashmir and appealed the Kashmiri youth to shun the path of violence. On the occasion of the Independence Day, a meeting of the executive body of Mother India, was held at its head office at R S Pura. The meeting, which was chaired by president Mother India Raj Kumar Choudhary, started with a two minutes silence to pay homage to the victims of cloud burst in Leh and also to those innocent people of Kashmir who lost their lives in stone pelting and cross firing. While addressing the meeting Raj Kumar Choudhary urged the Kashmiri youth not to resort to stone pelting and work for the betterment of the future of the common masses of valley. Choudhary congratulated all the members of the NGO on the occasion of Independence Day and urged them to resolve on this special day to serve the society with great zeal and enthusiasm. Later, all the members of the NGO garlanded the photographs of Mahatma Gandhi, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and Sukhdev who laid their lives down for attaining freedom for the country. Gurjeet Singh, organising secretary, also addressed the meeting and said that their organization had been straining hard for the welfare of the society and they continue the same for doing much better for humanity.
