| Hideouts busted, cache recovered | | Major tragedy averted on Highway, detonators recovered | | JAMMU OCT-25- A major tragedy was averted with the timely detection of detonators on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway today while hideouts were busted at different places in Poonch district and some cache recovered during search operations. A Defence spokesman said that a major tragedy was averted following recovery of detonators wrapped in a new paper on the road near famous tourist resort Patni Top on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The ROP party detected the detonators at wee hours today. A Police spokesman said that in a joint operation NCA/SOG Surankote busted a hideout in the forest area of Nallah Baffaliaz falling under the jurisdiction of Suranknot police station while the Army recovered a cache kept in a metallic container buried under ground at Sauni 8 KM East of Surankot.. During search, the forces recovered one UBGL grenade, two IEDs, two night sight boxes, one Pika ammunition box, two wireless set antennas, one RPG Booster, four AK magazines, 39 Pika rounds, 11 Pika empty cartridges and one pouch from the hideout at Baffaliaz. The reports said that Nowshera column launched a search operation in the area and Recovered a cache from a rucksack hidden behind a boulder. The recovery made include one Chinest Pistol,12 UBGL grenades and 120 rounds of AK ammunition.
