Govt committed to connect every nook and corner of the State: Bhalla

JAMMU, Aug 20: Coalition Government is committed to connect every nook and corner of the State with nearest headquarter by ensuring better road connectivity stated -Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation,
He said that Government has approved Rs. 1.93 crore underNABARD for construction of double lane 18 meter span steel girder bridge over Landoi Choi nallah in Bhour Camp providing better road
connectivity to the areas of Ward No. 1 and Ward No. 2. The Minister was addressing a huge public gathering at Bhour Camp after laying the foundation stone of the bridge.
He futher added that with the construction
of 18 meter span steel girder bridge, the distance of Lower Gaddigarh,Karan Bagh, Bhour Kothey, Azad Nagar, Vikram Nagar and its adjoiningareas would be reduced to a large extent. He said that during the
19-month period of Mr. Omar led Government unprecedented developmenthas been made and all out steps are being taken to provide goodamenities to the people.
The Minister said that a detailed project report for construction of21 new link roads costing Rs. 4.92 crore has been submitted to theNABARD authorities for funding adding that with the release of funds,
the works could be started.
Responding to locals demand, the Minister asked the R&B authorities toimmediately remove the garbage from the choked portion of the Landoinallah and start the restoration work of the damaged crates so thatthe flash floods in nallah do not harm the property of the people.
At Rani Bagh, the construction of deep drain work was started in thepresence of the Minister, for which Rs. 50 lakh have been earmarked.Later, Mr. Bhalla also attended a function organized by the people at
Bhour Camp on the 66th Birth anniversary of former Prime Minister.Rajiv Gandhi.The Minister paid rich tributes to great leader and said Mr. Gandhiand recalled his contribution in building a new India .
