| Homage paid to martyr soldier | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 20: Romeo Force today paid homage to the martyred soldier Gunner T Kishore Kumar Singha who made supreme sacrifice of his life while fighting the dreaded terrorists in rugged mountainous area of Sheruwala in Thanamandi Tehsil of Rajouri district on 15 August 2010.
A solemn ceremony was organised at the War Memorial at the Force Headquarters location where General Officer Commanding laid wreath and paid rich tributes to the brave soldier who laid down his life in the line of duty. Two minutes silence was observed in memory of the gallant soldier. The ceremony was attended by all ranks of the Force Headquarters and neighbouring units. Earlier, on 17 August 2010, wreath laying ceremony was held at General Hospital where rich floral tributes were paid to the martyr’s body kept in state prior to its journey to the native place in Assam for cremation with full military honours. |
