| Kasuri-Mukherjee parleys next month | | Third round of dialogue process being reviewed | | B L KAK NEW DELHI, OCT. 25: Foreign offices of India and Pakistan are now in motion. Following the appointment of India's new Minister for External Affairs, Pranab Mukherjee, Islamabad has revived contact with the Foreign Office in New Delhi on the resumption of bilateral talks without further delay. Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri, has sent in a significant message, stating that he would review the third round of the bilateral composite dialogue process with his Indian counterpart, Pranab Mukherjee, when he visits the Indian capital next month. Forthcoming deliberations between Kasuri and Mukherjee will, onpresent indications, focus on the issues of Kashmir and terorism. Indications are by no means uncertain that follow-up actions on the recent Havana talks between Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, and Pakistan President, Gen. Parvez usharraf, will also be taken up by Kasuri with his Indian counterpart. This will be Kasuri's first visit to Delhi in one-and-half-years. It will take place after the Foreign Secretary-level talks, which is scheduled for November 13 to 15. Kasuri's reluctance to interact with India's Ministers of State for External Affairs prevented an earlier visit to India. Now with Pranab Mukherjee appointed as India's Foreign Minister, there is a view in Islamabad that governmental business can be taken forward. Pakistani Foreign Minister's schedule will be worked out next week through diplomatic channels. During his visit, the Pakistan Foreign Minister will also attend the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Mani Shankar Aiyar, the Indian Minister for Panchayati Raj, Youth Affairs and Sports in the third week of November. Aiyar was classmate of Kasuri and they are family friends. He is expected to meet former External Affairs Minister K. Natwar Singh while in New Delhi.
