| Landmine defused near IB | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 20: A landmine was defused by security forces in a field close to the International Border (IB) at Regal in Samba today. The landmine was first spotted by some villagers, who then brought the matter to the notice of security forces.
Police sources said men of army engineering unit later reached the spot and defused the landmine. Had it exploded, it could have caused damage to the lives of the people, the sources added. |
