| SI booked in dowry case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 20: A traffic police cop was today booked by women police cell for allegedly harasssing his wife and demanding dowry.The accused was identified as Sub-Inspector Mumtaz Mirza of Gujjar Nagar. The complaint against him was lodged by his wife Shabnam.In her complaint, she alleged that her husband beat and harassed herfor bringing more dowry.
A case was then registered against the SI under sections 498 A and 109 of RPC.After Shabnam approached traffic police DIG Kamal Saini, he ordered SI's attachment to traffic police lines.
