Jammu, Aug 20: The recent chaos in Jammu university that started with pro-Pak sloganeering has settled an alarming cynicism among the people here about the separatist mindset of the valley not having ingrained its roots in the secular Jammu.
Though this may be the follow up reaction of the people, the instant one that should have come up from the University itself which had come, but with many riders and inhibitions, reason being the disbanded union of the students that failed to defend or retort back the most daring anti-national activity executed by the handful of separatist mindset people.
"We just feel the shiver down the spine whenever we recall the gory incident that was acted in front of JU gates by some of daring youth trampling upon the constitutional model of Indian integrity and demanded Pakistan," said a female student of department of law who was witness to the scene adding," I suffered a gut feeling like the entire nationality crumbling down in front of my eyes with so called University heroes representing our unions failing to even put up a brave front".
The law student's narration has since then become an adage for the union-runners of the students in the university who now have nothing to present as face saving as none of them have emerged somewhat victorious even by presenting any 'Saleable' tone on the incident.
"The students unions in the university are only a part of puppetry enacted by the self-styled goons whose have their reins held by political bigwigs who run the show from behind. These students union runners are just the mouthpieces of their masters (His Master's Voice, HMVs) only and are patented dummies roaming scot free on the campus premises," lamented another P.hD scholar, (obviously refusing to be named).
Even some of the professors and lecturers, those who do not have a squad or somehow are not able to manage proximity with these loiterers, too lament about their business on the JU campus being only confined to cafeteria where these leaders generate ideologues and concepts only detrimental to students' welfare.
"How can these student leaders afford to devour a mouthful of pizza in JU cafeteria after being extended a rude shock by the handful of goons having taken them for a ride on a pro-Pakistan agenda," said another aggrieved student adding, "this obviously hints about some foul jugglery being enacted on JU campus by these different student union leaders and their members, many of whom even run a tag for supporting naxalism also".
Given this state of affair running on JU campus about students' leaders, the credibility and character of them obviously needing a demand for clinical scrutiny, how secure and safe is student's credence is a question of heavy weight now. |
