| State Table Soccer team wins 11 medals | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 21: State boys bagged 11 medals in the recently held Rajiv Gandhi Memorial National Table Soccer Championship held at Himachal Pradesh recently.
The 15-member state team took part in the national event under the banner of J&K Table Soccer Association.
Among the medal winners were Neeraj Toga, who bagged gold in singles and silver in doubles while Nischala Thakur also gave similar performance with a gold and silver.
Sahil Sayal also did a fine job winning two bronze. Kanwaljeet Singh also clinched a gold in mixed doubles event and a silver in doubles event. Mohit Mehra and Divjot Singh also clinched silver and bronze medals.
In all, twelve states participated in the national meet held in the age groups of under-14, 17 and under-19 year. The state team was represented by the students of Tagore Memorial Higher Secondary School, Digiana in Jammu.
