KPC demands reorganization of state, separate homeland | | | EARLY TYIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 22: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has demanded reorganization of the state and grant of “Kashyap Homeland” to the Kashmiri Pandits in the valley and termed it as only viable solution to the problem. In a press statement issued here today, KPC national president Kundan Kashmiri expressed grave concern over the present turmoil in the Kashmiri valley created and supported by pro-pak, separatists and pseudo secularist forces in the valley. Expressing concern for the safety of minorities in the valley, Kundan Kashmiri demanded that minorities in Kashmir which include KPs and Sikhs need to be fully protected and anti-national elements responsible for creating fear and panic among the minorities valley needs to be dealt with strong will and determination. As regards release and grant of pardon by Chief Minister J&K State to the shoe thrower Abdul Ahad Jan, he demanded that it was unjustified move as he disrespected the national function by throwing shoes on Chief Minister J&K as well as on DGP was crime of sensitive nature involving prestige of the country. Such decision of Chief Minister could encourage others to follow such antinational acts and later on claim themselves insane and victim. Expressing full sympathy and support to rain victims of Muthi and Mishriwala camp dwellers at Jammu, KPC leader appealed state and central Government to provide relief of Rs 1 lakh and free ration to victim families besides shifting them to safe quarters. Kundan Kashmiri and J&K Unit leaders, Satish Pajnoo, PN Pandita and Tej Pandita National Vice President appealed all KP leaders to get united which is need of the time, and call a joint meet of all KP organizations at the earliest either at Delhi or Jammu to discuss hypersensitive issues being faced by the community, including autonomy issue. They said KPC totally rejects the autonomy to J&K State and termed accession of J&K with India full and final.
