| Two killed in road accidents, lady drowns in Chenab | | | JAMMU OCT-25- Two persons were killed, a dozen others got injured in different roads accidents while the body of a lady who is reported to have drowned in Chenab River was still untraced. A Police spokesman said Swaraj Mazada NO 8229 / JK02P on its way from Srinagar to Jammu collided with a Maruti Van NO 331/JK06 at Ramban bazaar resulting into serious injuries to the Maruti van driver Jewan Singh son of Natha Singh resident of Tali Morh Ramban, who later on succumbed to his injuries. In another accident, one Joginder Singh son of Anant Singh of Sapalwan fell down from the Tractor at Sapalwan falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Hiranagar and died on spot. The spokesman said that 23- year Pushpa Devi wife of Gurmukh Singh resident of Babore Doda had gone towards fields on October 21 but did not return back and on search her one pair shoes, shawl and water bottle was found on the bank of River Chenab on October 23,2006. However, there was no trace of the body and it is suspected that she might have drowned in the river. Efforts were on to trace out the body, the sources said.
