| Sumesh Tirki to face Nikhil Kapahi in junior billiards final | | | Early Times Reporter

Sumesh Tirki and Nikhil Kapahi stormed into the finals in junior billiards after registering convincing wins over opponents in the ongoing 16th Jammu District Billiards and Snooker championship being played at Billiards Hall M.A. stadium here today. In the first semifinal, Sumesh outclassed Vidit Gawri by 278-254 in a keen contest while Nikhil Kapahi had no difficulty whatsoever in trouncing Ishan Chowdhary by 404-373 in the second semifinal. Earlier, in the quarterfinals played yesterday, Ishan Choudhary beat Abhishek Pathania by 224-200 followed by Nikhil Kapahi who defeated Aditya Mahajan by 236-144. However, Senior Snooker shall commence tomorrow at 1 pm. The draws will be seen from 12 noon onwards. Kuldeep Sharma has been seeded top in the tournament followed by Kamal Rohmetra and Sumesh Tirki seeded 2nd and 3rd . Jaideep Manocha and Ashok Raphael ranked 4th and 5th in the championship.
