Historical Roshra Yatra begins | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 26: Historical Roshra Yatra today started with religious fervor among the scenic hills of Bhaderwah town and will reach Mata Sheetla temple at Jai on Friday. As per a report, around ten thousand people are participating in the Yatra this year. It added that the devotees will visit Sheetla Mata temple which is 16 kilometer from main Bhaderwah town. Devotees which also included large number of women, and children started their journey towards the temple amid shouting of religious slogans. Police sources said that the devotees arrived here in Bhaderwah from Ramban, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Gool-Gulabgrah, Kathua and Samba. They said that during the Yatra, they would pray for peace, communal harmony and religious brotherhood. Local administration led by ASP Bhaderwah T.R.Katoch, SDPO Bhaderwah Choudhary Abdul Qayoom and SDM Yasha Mudghal are supervising security arrangements. Sheetla Mata temple is around hundred years old. Meanwhile, Congress MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta today gave warm send off to Yatris and prayed for the success of Yatra.
