EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | OCT 25 “ The beauty of our great country is in its Temple’s, Mosques, Gurudwaras and Churches”, said former Governor of J&K and M.P Dr. Karan Singh after inaugurating the newly constructed ‘Yagyshalla’, at famous Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir Complex here today. He further said , India’s religions is based on common composite culture, tolerance and respect for all the religions. Dr. Karan Singh on this occasion, congratulated the Muslim Community of the country is general and of J&K state in particular, on the eve of Eid and wished them happy and prosperous Eid-ul-Fitr. He said since long he was feeling that Shri Raghunath Temple should have a Yagyashalla and today desire has been accomplished and handed over to the people of Jammu for performing of Yagyas and other religious related functions. He said that Shri Raghunath Temple is unique in whole of northern India as it has been well managed by the Jammu and Kashmir Dharmath Trust. He also congratulated the employees of the Trust for working with a team spirit and completing Yagyashalla in record period. A Havana was performed. The Chairman of Trustee distributed financial help to various social institutions and heads of social and political leader and senior government officers for maintaining communal amity, brotherhood and Law and order in Jammu. Those honoured included Minister for Health, Mangat Ram Sharma, Medical Education G.D Sharma, Retired Justice Parod Jain Divisional Commissioner, Dr S.P Vaid, IGP Mukesh Singh, Senior Superintendent of police, Ashok Khajuria, Ramakant Dubey, President, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Dharni Dhar, President, Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Sanjay Anand , President Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, Vinod Mahajan Ex-President , Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, Krishan Lal Gupta, Chairman Rajinder Bazaar Association Sruinder Mahajan, Senior President, R.N Bazaar Association, Sant Swarn Jeet Singh, and D.K Batra of Secular Forum Jammu.
