| SC/ST retired employees’ forum concerned over non payment of arrears | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, August 28: All J&K SC & ST Retired Employees Forum for Welfare of Underprivileged has expressed its deep concern about the non-payment of the arrears of the pensionary benefits including gratuity, computation value etc to the state pensioners as a result of 6th pay commission and appealed to the Government to pay the same at the earliest as the pensioners are suffering badly due to hike in the market prices.
The forum also felt that in the present composition of the State Government Ministry, both the SC and ST communities are very poorly represented and it appealed to the Government to induct at least one Minister each from both these communities in the State Government Ministry at the earliest.
This was held in the monthly meeting of the All J&K SC & ST Retired Employees Forum for Welfare of Underprivileged held at Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademy, Roop Nagar here today.
The meeting discussed the various problems of the communities and decided to celebrate the Annual Day / Foundation Day of the Forum on September 25 at Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademy Roop Nagar wherein the meritorious students of the communities would be honored.
