| Jatt youth demand tax exemption of Rs.25 on cattle | | | Jammu / July 26, 2006 Youth of Jatt community, under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Jatt Youth Federation (JKJYF) demanded exemption of tax on cattle as imposed by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and the benefits under the OBC category. JKJYF has been constituted by the youth of Jatt community for the betterment and upliftment of the community. Federation has unanimously elected Manjeet Singh as President and also elected other office bearers. Federation has demanded OBC status to Jatt community of J&K state at par with the Jatts of Rajasthan and U.P as recommended by OBC commission and Government of India. They also demanded construction of Jatt hostel, Reservation in professional and technical courses and tax exemption of Rs. 25/- per cattle in Jammu as decide by JMC.
