NC concerned over mushrooming of ETT institutes | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Aug 31: Youth wing of National conference (NC) today resented mushrooming of Elementary Teachers Training (ETT) colleges in district Kathua. In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a deputation led by district president of National youth Conference Harpreet Singh Sethi urged Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kathua to take comprehensive steps against mushrooming of ETT institutes which are mostly being opened by uneducated and rich people who have a background in business. He said that most of the ETT colleges have been sanctioned on the basis of given amount as bribe to sanctioning authority even these colleges are not holding regular classes of students. Sethi urged Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kathua that the unemployed and economically weak educated youth should be considered for ETT institute. DC Kathua heard the delegation patiently and assured them that appropriate strict and legal initiative would be taken against those ETT institutes which are running in district Kathua without proper staff and violating the rules and regulations. Others who were part of the deputation included Ramesh Chander (Laddu), Abhinandan Gupta, Amit Sharma, Sanjay, Ajay and etc. were also present.
