Jammu,October 26 : Ahead of Durbar move to winter capital here in Jammu various social organisations, unions, housing welfare associations, corporations are getting ready to submit their long list of demands in the form of memorandum to the state government to addrress their grievances. A team journalists which interacted with business men,traders, union leaders and social organisations said that soon after Durbar move offices will be reopened here in Jammu they will present their fresh list of demands to the state government for speedy redressal. Sanjiv Mahajan, a businessmen in Brahibrahmna industrial area said, industry is facing acute shortage of electricity and in the coming winters if situation was not tackled in time it might result in hefty losses to small industrialists. A representative of the Sharika vihar welfare association told KIP that condition of roads and drainage system in their area is very poor.Officials do not address our complaints and now we are planning to meet Road and Building minister and will submit a memorandum to him after the durbar move offices are reopened after a week break. Shankar Singh, a resident in Nanak Nagar area told KIP that they are not getting regular supply of water and hygenic conditions are also very poor in their area. They told "Our local corporators are not doing enough to help us fight this probelm.We are planning to meet Health Minister and senior Congress minister Mangat Ram Sharma to instruct PHE minister to look in to the matter before any things go out of hand." A representative of parents body of Harminder Public school are also looking forward to meet Education Minister for forming a new education policy to check escalation of tutition fee by managements of private schools. |
