US based club doing yeoman service | ‘Displaced KP diaspora must project cause of community’ | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 31: A delegation of the community service club of Buckingham Browne and Nichols School of Boston in USA visited Government Camp School (GCS) Roopnagar-Muthi here today. The Community Service club of the Boston School has been extending a helping hand to Muthi Camp School for the last three years. A function was organized in the premises of the school today in which delegation donated computers, clothes and other necessary study material to the school. Manik Kuchroo, the co-Head of the club initiated the service programme for the school. On this occasion, he assured the camp school authorities that the Community Service club humanitarian aid programme would continue in future as well. A.N.Vaishnavi, President, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir was the Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries who attended the programme included H.L.Chatta, Virender Raina, Vijay Qazi and Virender Kuchroo. Ashok Razdan, presented the Welcome address while vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Subhash Aima, Principal of the School. Dr. Vijay Kuchroo from Boston presented the key note address. Pradeep Kaul conducted the proceedings of the function. A.N. Vaishnavi in his speech on the occasion praised the efforts of the NRIs living in US and other countries for their continued support to the cause of the displaced people. Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said that the generation next of the displaced community Diaspora has a vast potential to project the humanitarian issues relating to their community. Dr. Subhash Aima thanked the Boston based school authorities and students for their contributions to the camp school and hoped that their efforts would bring a qualitative change in the education related activities of the school. He also expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries present on the occasion. The function concluded with recitation of the National anthem.
