Accused teacher gets anticipatory bail | Thrashing incident in Reasi | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 31: In a show of dilly-dallying by concerned quarters, teacher accused of severely thrashing his junior over a petty issue in Government Primary School Baghal Pal in Chinka area of district Reasi has managed to secure an anticipatory bail from District and Session Judge today. The incident took lace on August 27, 2010. A case was registered under section 307 in police station Chinka. Accused was evading arrest since then. Locals alleged that the accused succeed in evading arrest because of his high profile political links. Injured teacher Gourav Puri is engaged as RET. He alleged that his senior Arif thrashed him brutally for marking him absent. Local authorities of education department including Chief Education Officer (CEO) and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) preferred not to take action against the erring official. When contacted, SHO Reasi Varinder Gupta said that accused teacher has secured anticipatory bail.
