8/31/2010 10:03:31 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 31: Rail services remained partially disrupted for the third day on Tuesday on Udhampur-Jammu-Pathankot due to ongoing repair work at Balole railway bridge which was damaged due to flash floods.

The authorities cancelled seven more trains today on Udhampur-Jammu-Pathankote rail track as a precautionary measure in view of repair work on the basement of Balole Railway bridge in Bari Brahamana area of Jammu, Railway officials said.
The work is going on war footing to repair and strengthen the basement, which was badly damaged due to last week's flash floods in Jammu, they said.
These trains have been stopped at Amritsar, Pathankote and Chaki Bank areas.
The trains have been cancelled to avoid pressure on this bridge, they said adding only some of the trains will run from Jammu and Udhampur and they will have a speed of nearly 20-kms per hour on the damaged stretch of the bridge
