JMUK distributes certificates to trainees

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 1: Jagriti Mahila Udyog Kendra (JMUK), distributed certificates of successful training in tailoring and cutting among 20 females, belonging to poor families of Bhagwati Nagar Jammu on Wednesday. The women who were imparted three months training in the crafts by the NGO, under the scheme sponsored by Jammu Urban Development Authority, were issued certificates by the President Jagriti Mahila Udyog Kendra Veena Bakshi.
The certificates of successful training in crafts entitles the women to get jobs in government and semi-government agencies, as well as to obtain loans from the banks, to start their own venture under self help group program sponsored by JUDA. The NGO is also helping these women to get loan from the bank, for starting their own collective craft center and boutique. The loans obtained under the scheme carry a substantial subsidy on the same, while the loan is to be refunded in easy installments.
