JAMMU,Sep 2:It my appear unbelievable, but it is true that now the people of Kashmir have started realizing the brunt of nearly three-months old agitation due to which students mostly belonging to middle class and poor families denying them the right to education. The protest of students in Srinagar is an indication that the agitation in the valley is going to spoil the future of students. These students main demand is end to the on going agitation on the ground as the agitation has marred their learning process. About 300 students have already left the valley for Delhi and other places of the country to continue their studies. Most of these students are of 10th and 12th class and are getting couching tuition classes outside valley as there seems to be no end of strike in the valley. One of the students talking to this reporter said that he has no other option other than to take coaching in Delhi because it is the question of my career. Another students, said, that there are many more waiting to leave the valley to continue their studies in other parts of country. About 21, 00 crores have lost in 85 days of agitation so far. The recent protest was held by group by primary school students at Ganderbal yesterday where they said it was denying them to right to education. Dressed in their school uniforms, these students in Ganderbal staged a demonstration and demanded and end to the ongoing agitation, on the ground it had marred their learning process. The students holding placards which read “ we want freedom from poverty, we want freedom from illiteracy, we want freedom from backwardness’ etc. the sources said there is now brewing resentment among the masses against the continued strikes and the people who are dependant on daily wages like workers, rehriwalas, shopkeepers have started openly revolting against the strike. This is just the beginning.
