SP concerned over outbreak of diarrhea
9/2/2010 8:49:36 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 2: Samajwadi Party, in a meeting held here, under its President, Sheikh Abdul Rehman, expressed great concern over the spread of diarrhoea and other water borne diseases in the entire Chenab Valley. The meeting attributed it to the great neglect and callous attitude of State Government because over 60 posts of Doctors are lying vacant in the entire valley and 20 posts of doctors are vacant alone in District Hospital Doda.
The meeting further thanked the Army for coming to rescue of rural people otherwise there would have been several causalities in the area and the situation would have gone out of control of the Govt.
Samajwadi Party President Sheikh Abdul Rehman urged upon the Government to take immediate steps to fill the vacant posts of Doctors in the entire Chenab Valley besides doing away with all the attachments.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting include Amrit Varsha, Ram Singh Chauhan and Sheikh Mohammad Shafi.
