New Delhi, J&K govt callous in tackling Kashmir situation: BJP
9/2/2010 9:00:12 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 2: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused ruling leadership of New Delhi of fiddling with problems in Kashmir by their callous and ill-advised approach.
In a handout issued here today, BJP leader Chaman Lal Gupta said that confused approach is bound to create more complications rather than sorting out any difficulties facing the people, especially the nationalists who have been made hostages by the stone- pelters and operators of mob-terrorism.
Addressing a meeting of the party activists of Janipura and Talab Tillo Mandals here, Gupta said that unfortunately many of those, both in the state as also at the centre; claim to be Kashmir experts although they hardly know even the geography of this state, not to say of the pschyche of Kashmir and its basic problems. Because of childish dealings and unrealistic decisions of the coalition government, they have spoiled the entire good work during the NDA regime in the state. .
He maintained that instead of rectifying their wrongs and adopting realistic policies, Chief Minister and some others are terming the turmoil in the Valley as a political problem just to cover up their own failures. He observed that leadership of the National Conference is trying to fish in the troubled waters by raking up the rejected issue of Autonomy.
He assailed both the Congress and National Conference for attempting to demoralize security forces which were the major instruments with which the cross border terror is being tackled for the past so many years. If this approach is not halted, the problems are set to get compounded, Gupta warned while adding that Pakistan has launched a proxy war which cannot be fought with this approach.
The meeting of the activists was organized as part of the party campaign to mobilize nationalist forces against the dangers ahead because of the confused approach being adopted by the ruling leaders to restore peace and order in the troubled Valley of Kashmir. He impressed upon the activists to reach out to the people to apprise them of the dangers ahead.
These who attended the meet also included Surinder Sharma, Krishan Lal Gupta, Praduman Singh, Pushpa Wazir, Chander Mohan Gupta, Vijay Sharma and others.
