| Female body recovered | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Sep 2: A female body was recovered from Agly Tawi river here today.
According to sources, inhabitants of Malik market in the heart of Rajouri town saw the body of a young girl floating near Jhoola bridge.
According to SHO at about 1.30 pm people saw the girl in the flood water. Seeing the body, some youth jumped in the river near Jhoola bridge. The female had injury marks on her head.
The girl about 22 years old immediately rushed to the district hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead.
The deceased reportedly belongs either to Darhal or Thanamandi tehsils, said the officer "We have flashed the messages to all the police stations and police posts in Darhal and Thanamandi tehsils to identify the girl." said a senior police officer.
When contacted inspector SHO Rajouri K Gupta said that the possibility of murder of the girl cannot be ruled out in this incident. "She might have been thrown in the river after murdering her or got drowned due to flash flood. The real cause of death would be known only after the postmortem report" said SHO. |
