| Agnivesh & Co: Peace Foundation or break-India secessionist outfit | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 2: Who says Swami Agnivesh and his cohorts like Dr Mohini Giri (daughter of former President of India VV Giri), former Indian Navy Chief Admiral Ram Doss, "Father" Dominique Emmanuel, former Chairman of J&K Public Service Commission Mohammad Shafi Pandit and journalists like Mazhar Hussain from Hyderabad and Sujat Bukhari and Yousuf Jameel from Kashmir, to mention only a few, are peaceniks? Those who say so are either mercenaries or supporters of those who want to wreck the Indian State and give legitimacy to the politics of terrorism, separatism and worst form of communalism. They are not peaceniks. They are mercenaries; they are separatists; they are worse than Geelanis because they present themselves to the nation as "peaceniks", but function in collaboration with the likes of Geelanis to ensure the disintegration of India and victory of the dreaded Maoists/Naxalites and Islamic radicals like Geelani.
Who says that the so-called Swami and his cohorts are Indians or who says that the perverted Swami and his handful of perverted followers and supporters believe in democracy, secularism, pluralism, Indian unity and integrity and peaceful co-existence? Those who say so are blissfully ignorant about the evil intentions of this Swami, who roams about in saffron dhoti and kurta, with a saffron turban on his head, and pretends that his mission is to preach peace and work for the unity of the Indians. His mission is not peace. He is an evil-intentioned person, who is playing the role of an agent of those who are working day and night to destroy India and break it into smithereens. He is masquerading as "peace-monger", but his real mission is to give legitimacy to those who are killing the innocent Indians and attacking the very institution of the Indian State. His mission is to beguile, hoodwink and mislead the gullible people, strengthen the hands of the merchants of death and destruction and fight on behalf of the dreaded killers.
The so-called Swami, who shamelessly calls himself an "Arya Samajist", and his handful of supporters are more dangerous. They pose a greater challenge to the unity and integrity of India than the likes of the Geelanis and the Mirwaiz pose. He is not an Arya Samajist. An Arya Samajist is one who believes that India is Punya Bhumi inhabited by the Aryans who take the Vedas to mean perennial fountains flowing containing knowledge for the past, for the present and for the future. An Arya Samajist is one who considers the Vedas as infallible in the same way the Christians, the Muslims and the Sikhs consider the Bible, the Quran and the Guru Granth Sahib infallible. He is not an Arya Samajist. He is an anarchist, who is always found in the company of those who have been carrying on a relentless break-India, Hate-India, promote-anti-India and promote-separatism and communalism-movement for years now.
The so-called Swami, along with his cohorts, was here in Kashmir for three days in the last week of August. What did he do there? He met the Geelanis and the Mirwaizs and shared their view that "New Delhi has unleashed a reign of senseless brutalities in the Valley to crush the democratic voice of the innocent people there."
Perverted and rebel Agnivesh met the Kashmiri separatists and communalists and shared their view that those "bleeding India, attacking the symbols of Indian authority, confronting the police and paramilitary forces and forcing the common Kashmiri Muslims to keep the shutters down and boycott educational institutions, defy the authority of the state, violate the rule of law and destroy the political, democratic, economic and social institutions in the Valley are unarmed innocent civilians."
The highly controversial and provocative Swami met the Kashmiri separatists and shared their view that the "Indian Army and paramilitary forces are perpetrating worst form of barbarities on Kashmiri Muslims and willfully killing and maiming the Kashmiri innocents." He shared their view that the "stone-throwers in Kashmir are fighting for a genuine cause." He also met the families of the slain militants and stone-throwers and shared their grief and agony attacking the Indian State in downright language. Besides, he, along with his 8-member perverted team and several Kashmiri separatists, including separatist journalists, staged a protest demonstration in Srinagar's Sher-e-Kashmir Park on August 31 where he asked the "Indian Prime Minister (to) shun reluctance and give a patient hearing to the grievances of Kashmiris."
This was what he and his company of mercenaries did in Kashmir. What did he say while interacting with media persons, all biased against India, after achieving his anti-India and pro-separatist mission? He, among several other anti-India things, said: "There seems no signs of governance in Kashmir and the people in valley have been ignored to the hilt. The frequent curfew in Kashmir has held people hostage who are facing tremendous difficulties in their day-to-day livelihood…The people here are demanding their just and genuine rights (read independence from India on the basis of religion). The present turbulence in the valley reflects that the stone throwers are not funded by anyone and the people take to streets on their own…What type of democracy it is where the innocent young people are being killed without any reason? Like in Maisuma where some youth were playing carom, and were shot at by the police leaving them soaked in blood. Among these youth the condition of Mohammad Yasir is still critical," Swami Agnivesh…The nation is ashamed of the excesses, and it knows that bullets are being showered relentlessly on youth…"
The rebel Admiral said: "We are here to point out the problematic relationship between Kashmir and the society in India. We want to carry a genuine message from this place for all Indians who need to recognize the aspirations of Kashmiris. The HR violations are highly condemnable and we reject these violations categorically." As for the mercenary Mohini Giri, she said: "The excesses committed by the CRPF and police are simply brutal. It is absolute violation of human rights, which in no way is justifiable. I condemn such acts and feel the pain of every Kashmiri."
All this should establish that the perverted Swami and his perverted cohorts, like Geelani, represent regression, communalism, separatism and brutality and that they are out to break India. But the question is: What is New Delhi doing? New Delhi should take note of the activities of these perverted "peaceniks" and book them under the charge of sedition because they are tarnishing the image of India. The sooner New Delhi acts against them the better. Home Minister Chidambaram, who is also known for making highly controversial statements on Kashmir, should not only refashion his whole approach taking into consideration the fact that the movement in Kashmir is fundamentally communal, but should also prevent the likes of Agnivesh from visiting Kashmir where they only add more fuel to the fire and instigate the Kashmiri separatists against the Indian State. Will he refashion his approach and rein in the likes of Agnivesh? |
