| Affair meets tragic end, lover found dead | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 2: Love stories from ancient times have often met with tragic ends and the affair between Jameel and Sunita (name changed for valid reasons) was no exception either as love hit former was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a nullah at Arnia today. Jameel Ahmed of Parade, Jammu a 12th class student and Sunita of Sangrampur were having an affair but their parents had strong objections to their relationship, said police sources
On August 31 last, Jameel went missing mysteriously from his house in Parade and accordingly father of the boy Mohd Safiq, who is Head Constable in Jammu Kashmir Police, presently posted at Police workshop lodged a missing report at Parade police post.
Police initiated inquiry into the suspicious missing of the boy and launched a hunt to know his whereabouts.
While the investigation of the case was in progress, the body of the boy was found in Rakh Kalyana nullah, Arnia in RS Pura this morning.
After police recovered the body, it came to know that boy had affair with a girl Sunita.
Police also came to know that both boy and girl were last seen together by locals of RS Pura.
Based on the eyewitnesses account, police arrested the girl and her parents.
Giving information SDPO City SS Sambyal said that during questioning girl admitted that she had love affair with the deceased and on the fateful day of August 31 both met at Bikram Chowk and proceeded towards RS Pura in a mini bus. Sunita disclosed that Jameel accompanied her till she reached her relatives' residence. What happened to him after that, she did not know any thing.
He further said that a case under section 174 Cr PC has been registered in this connection and the girl besides her parents have been put to sustained questioning for further disclosures.
Police is also waiting for the postmortem report of the boy to know the exact reason of the death, he added. |
