| Hizbul militant arrested | | | Jammu, Oct 26 Police and security forces have arrested a militant of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) outfit in a forest area of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir, a police official said today.
On a specific information, police and security forces launched operation in Basti forest near Doda town and arrested Fareed Ahmed of HM outfit, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda Manohar Singh said.
Ahmed had joined militancy several years back and was involved in various crimes, he said adding that he was also involved in a rape case.
He will be sent for joint interrogation to ascertain his links with other militants, Singh said. |
