JPBEF hold rally against alarming price hike | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 6: A massive protest rally against the alarming price hike of essential commodities was held at press club by Jammu province bank employees federation (JKBEF) here today. Addressing the gathering president JPBEF Arun Kumar Gupta said, that entire working class of the country has given a clarion call for all India strike on September against the price hike. He said government should take proactive and concrete measures to protect the jobs of worker in recession stricken sectors, stop disinvestments of PSUs and sale of national properties to private, strict enforcement of labour laws without exception or exemption and stringent punitive measures for violation of labour laws by employers, the recommendations of the parliamentary standing committee on labour to set up national fund for unorganized sector to be implemented. A number of office Bearer of the federation also addressed the gathering, namely, Gain Chand, Yash Pal Singh, T.K Tikoo, Sappan Kumar, Girja Kapoor, Subash Singh Manhas, V.K Pandita, Veena Rathore, Sohan Lal Bavloria, V.K Koul, Hardev Singh and R.K Bhat.
