More educational Instt. Celebrate ‘Teachers Day’

Jammu, Sept 6: Filled with enthusiasm more educational institute celebrated the ‘Teachers Day’ beside paid floral tributes to ex.president of India, Dr. S.Radhakrishnan on the occasion. The celebrations include various cultural prgorammes, speeches, dance, singing and prize distribution. Govt. M.A.M college students and staff also celebrated the day with full enthusiasm. On the occasion symposium on role of the teacher in the present scenario was organized. Sanjeet Bhagat students of B.A Part-II secured first position whereas Shahid Mumtaz Kha, B.A Part-III and Anil Sharma, B.A Part-II had to settle with 2nd and 3rd position respectively and the prize were distributed among the students. While paying rich tribute to Dr.S.Radha Krishanan on the occasion the main focus of the student was on the special role of the teachers during the present era of competition, stress and frustration among the youth. Principal of college Dr.Ajeet Angral speaking on the occasion highlighted the role of teacher in moulding the character of students, shaping their destiny in particular and architecting the society in general. From the teachers side Prof. Padmini Tickoo spoke on the occasion and highlighted the contribution of Dr.S.Radha Krishanan towards the society. Teachers’ day was celebrated in the premises of Gandhi Memorial College of education, Raipur, Bantalab, Jammu. A.K Dewani, President Hindu education society Kashmir (REGD) lighted the ceremonial lamp. Prof. Kusum Tiku in her welcome address highlighted the need of enhancing quality education among the teacher-educators. Speaking on the occasion , Anil Dhar, Secretary HESK highlighted the importance of teachers in the betterment of the society and the nation as whole. S.D Tara Puri High Public, Gandhi Nagar, celebrated teachers’ day with great favour and gaiety, floral tributes were paid to Dr.Radha Krishnan by the school management of class 10th played the role of the teachers with amplomb. The students and the teachers threw light on the importance of this day. The chairman of the school Prof. MR Puri former vice-chancellor of Jammu University honoured the teachers for their dedication by presenting them attractive gifts and uniform plus gifts to a class IV employees on this day. Teachers’ day was celebrated with great zeal and fervour in modern secular institute of education Laxmipuram-B-2, Chinore, Jammu. Principal of the school Om Parkash Rao explained how teachers and students should behave ideally so as to achieve the desired goals of education. He also threw light on the need of inculcating morality among the budding students so that in future they become useful to themselves and to the society and make the society free from that all round degradation which it is suffering from today. Dr.Radha Krishan’s contribution to the cause of education was also highlighted.
