| Girl who died in GMC hospital identified, two persons arrested | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sep 06: Police today lifted two persons for questioning to solve the death mystery of a girl. The later was brought in an unconscious condition to the GMC hospital few days back by an unknown youth who after admitting her fled from the spot.
The identification of the girl has been established as Gurpreet Kour daughter of Avtar Singh resident of Janipur. The youth who brought her to the hospital has been identified as Ashok Kumar son of Mohinder Pal resident of Supwal, Samba. To solve the mystery police was searching footage of the CCTV cameras. Finally police got success through a contact number he wrote on the record register of GMC hospital emergency wing. Giving information a police officer said that police came to know the name and address of SIM card holder as Raj Kumar after going through the BSNL record. Raj Kumar,during questioning by Bakshi Nagar police revealed that his friend Ashok Kumar son of Mohinder Pal resident of Supwal, Samba had contacts with Gurpreet Kour and accordingly police conducted raid at his residence and arrested his father Mohinder Pal and brother Deep Raj alias Deepu for questioning. Ashok, who is an auto driver at Katra is presently absconding. The parents of the deceased girl alleged that Ashok took girl from her residence on the pretext of getting new Scooty for her and in this connection he had taken Rs 40,000 from them. It is also disclosed that Gurpreet got married with a person who is a government teacher posted in school some where in Mendhar. The postmortem report of the girl is awaited for further investigation, police officer informed.
