Under trial Gurmeet sent to JIC for interrogation
Cell phone recovered from his possession

Following recovery of a mobile phone from one under trial Gurmeet Singh resident of Mandlik Nagar Paloura facing charges of murder has been sent to Joint Interrogation Centre.
According to reports the under trial lodged in Kot Balwal Jail in a murder case was possessing a mobile phone No 9906872230 which was reportedly given to him by a Pakistani militant who was lodged in the jail and later shifted to Sangror Jail in Punjab.
After the recovery of the mobile phone from inside the jail premises, the jail authorities launched a search operation inside the jail premises and recovered yet another Airtel mobile phone from another jailed militant of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit identified as Mohammed Altaf.
Gurmeet Singh, was sent to JIC for interrogation while a Police team has been rushed to Sangror Jail to verify the facts about handing over of the cell phone by a Pak militant to the under trial Gurmeet Singh, as claimed by him.
Further details would be known only after the team returns from Sangror, the sources added.
