3 ultras’ sympathizers sent to JIC | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Sept 7: Following preliminary investigation by Poonch police, a former Centre Reserve Police Force constable and his two sons have been sent to Junior Interrogation Centre Jammu for sustained interrogation regarding their alleged links with the militants. All the three were arrested on Sunday following an operation between militants and security forces in Bhatti Dhar area. Sources said that police has sent Abdul Khalid a former CRPF constable and his two sons namely Saddam Hussain and Zubair Ahmed to JIC Jammu for sustained interrogation following inputs of their involvement in abetting militants in the area. Police sources said that during the encounter at Thera Bharti Dhar on September 5 in which Divisional Commander of Jaish-i-Mohammad outfit was killed, Zubair Ahmed gave up the fight and came out of the house with AK-47 rifle. They said that he was captured and on his input they had recovered an AK 47 rifle. “One who has picked gun and abet militants is not less than a militant”, police sources said adding that Zubair Ahmed was actively involved in anti-national activities and he was on the radar of police for the last many months. Police sources said that Zubair Ahmed had been detained after the killing of Parvat Shikari as his name had surfaced as potential SIM suppliers to Jaish commanders in the month of February this year. However, he was released following his deteriorating health conditions. It is pertinent to mention here that Khaliq was a CRPF constable and had been dismissed from the services few years back due to his involvement in a murder case at the State of his posting. All three captured persons have been charged with 7/2 Indian Arms Act, Section 212 RPC and 2/3 Ingress Act.
