Rajouri emerge land of communal concord
Mandir Committee arrange Iftar party for Muslims

Rajouri, Sept 7: In a good will gesture to strengthen Hindu-Muslim communal brotherhood, Doodhadhari Mandir committee today arranged Iftar Party for the Muslims of the Rajouri city in the premises of the Mandir where an arrangement of Namaz was also made. The Mandir Committee is following the tradition since long and the event is being organized for a single mission of maintaining brotherhood and peace in the area.
As per reports, Doodhadhari Mandir Committee Rajouri headed by Thakur Kamal Singh arranged an Iftar Party today for Muslims of the city as a goodwill gesture to show their respect for holy month Ramzan which likely to end within a couple of days.
Vice President of the Mandir Committee Kewal Koul said that it is the tradition of the Mandir every year that Hindus arrange Iftar party for Muslims which too in Mandir. “We organize this programme to show our respect to holy month and also to give a message of communal brotherhood to the people”, Koul said adding that the tradition has strengthen the bond of love between two communities and both are living here in peaceful atmosphere. “We want to give message that we are peace lovers and we can live peacefully in a mixed culture”, he added.
Kewal Koul said that atlaest 500 Muslims participated in the Iftar party in the Mandir premises. He said that they also perform Sulah in the temple premises. “This may be the first example that Muslims perform Namaz in any Mandir premises and this happened because we want to live together peacefully and we will not allow any communal force to create wedge in the area”, Kewal said.
Following Iftar party, Muslims appreciated the efforts made by the Mandir committee for the Muslims. “We are thankful that our Hindu brothers made arrangements for our Iftar”, Tazeem Dar, Peoples Democratic Party leader said adding “Hindu and Muslims of this area always share pleasure and grief and they will continue to follow the practice”. He said that Thakur Kamal Singh and Kewal Koul including other members of the Mandir Committee are striving hard for communal brotherhood and they must be appreciated for the same. He said that Poonch and Rajouri is an example of communal brotherhood. He said that on one side Muslims are making arrangements for Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra at Mandi Poonch and on the hand Hindus are organizing Iftar parties for Muslims. “This is big achievement of ours”, he added.
Meanwhile another Muslim leader Shahbaz Khan who is known as Bal Sahib Thakery of Pahari community said that they believe in communal concord and all communities in Rajouri Poonch are well aware about the advantage of the communal harmony. He said that Poonch and Rajouri is the land of peace lovers. “We are secular people as the land has given shelter to Baba Nangali Sahib, Hazrat Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah and Shri Budha Amarnath”, Khan said appreciating Thakur Kamal Singh and Kewal Koul besides Dooda Dhari Ashram and Mandir Committee for showing respect to holy month Ramzan.
