JAMMU, Sept 07: Six gamblers were today arrested by police from Teli Basti in Sambaalong with a cash of Rs 42,000.
They were identified as Rampal, son of Om Prakash of Kaluchak, Bhuri Ram, son of Shiv Ram of Bassi Kalan, Khurshid Ahmad of Gujjar Nagar, Rashid Hussain, son of Fazal Din, Des Raj, son of Sain Dass and Mohammad Din, son of Abdul Aziz, all residents of Teli Basti.
SSP, Samba, J L Sharma said they were arrested by a police team led by DSP Naresh Singh and the SHO concerned.
An amount of Rs 42,000 and three sets of cards were recovered from their possession, he added.
The accused had been booked under relevant sections of law.
