Ramnagar youth lauded for restarting Dudu-Kailash yatra

Jammu, Sept 8: J&K PYC has congratulated the youth of Ramnagar for restarting the yatra to KailashKund, abode of Nagraj Vasuki, from Dudu after a long period of 18 years.
The historic yatra, standing as an epitome of religious fervour, communal harmony and adventurous spirit of people of the area, had been abandoned since 1992 due to severe militancy prevailing in the area.
R.S. Pathania, Sr. Vice-President J&K PYC while congratulating the people on the occasion said that the youth of Ramnagar have demonstrated in a very graceful way that terrorism is a bane eating into the vitals of the society, development and the democractic system. The said yatra has re-enforced human belief in the irresistable, diehard spirit of fight-unto-last. Mr. Pathania has further impressed upon Kashmiri youth to take cue from the youth of Jammu as terrorism and gun are no answer to any problem.
Pathania has also elaborated that Just alike the Jammu youth have stood in support of development and educational, recreational, religious activities, Kashmiri youth should also drop stones and come on the talking table.
The initiative of local management committee and the local committee viz-a-viz the pro-active response of local administration and the department of tourism was also lauded. Since youth congress cadres of Ramnagar had made it a point that the yatra starts from Dudu, it in this very regard had approached and persuaded the local administration to grant permission for the same viz-a-viz ensure at-par security cover, shelter enroute, health care and other facilities are provided to the pilgrims.
From the next year, Pathania has proposed and demanded for making of a pacca pathway around the Kailash Kund and erecting of make-shift shelters. He also demanded provision of oxygen cylinders in the medical camps as many pilgrims face breathing problems at such a high altitude of 14500 ft.
