NSF holds one-day conference for Bishnah student community

Jammu, Sept 8: National Secular Forum (NSF) has organized one day Conference at Khanhal and chalked out the problems being faced by the student community and Youth of Bishnah.
Addressing the gathering, NSF president Vikas Sharma stressed upon the govt to apply a serious thought to strengthen the rural education infrastructure and support under privileged children besides, strengthening the education system.
He said that all degree colleges of the Jammu provinces had science stream but Bishnah College was the only exception. This was to the detriment of the student community of Bishnah.
He also demanded the construction of a permanent building for the college, at present housed on the premises of the Govt. Higher Secondary School (Boys).
Apart from its negative impact, it disturbed normal functioning of the Higher Secondary School also. He stated that this degree college was opened two years ago but still it had no permanent building.
Rohit Sharma, in charge Bishnah (District Secretary) said that he was disappointed with the Higher Education Minister for not taking serious interests in getting these two requirements fulfilled.
He demanded the introduction of new subjects like commerce, statistics, sociology, geography etc., which have vast job potential in civil services and other competitive exams.
A large number of students today joined National Secular Forum here in Bishnah in presence of Vikas Sharma. He also said that the students who have joined the NSF have pledged to work with dedication for the organization.
On this occasion NSF constituted its team for the Bishnah Teshil in which Ravi Kumar (MA History in JU) has been appointed as President of the Bishnah, Manu Sharma as the chairman NSF BishnahTeshil wing, Neeraj Verma was appointed as sr.vice-president. Abhishekh was appointed as vice-president, Jatinder Kumar was appointed as gen.secretary, Manu Kant as convener Pankaj as Adviser, Gaurav Sharma as Cashier. Rahil Sharma, Amit, Ankit and Deepak were appointed as Secretaries. Goutam Verma, Sahil, Abhimanu, Ankit, Pankaj, Sumit and others were elected as members.
