| ABVP starts membership campaign in JU | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU SEPT 8: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today launched its membership campaign in Jammu University campus, which was inaugurated by its State President Virender Koundal. The membership started from Education Department which was further extended to other departments. The ABVP activists in a team which was led by Ajay Sharma, Jammu Mahanagar President of ABVP visited different departments and students in large number to register their names as ABVP activists and supported the ideology of nationalism.
Speaking on the occasion, ABVP State President said that ABVP is not only a student organization but a nationalistic movement, which started its working in 1949 and from that period it is working with the objective of channelising students' energies in the task of national reconstruction.
Ajay Sharma said that this drive will remain continue for a week with a motto to register maximum number of students, scholars as well as teachers as active ABVP members in the Jammu University campus. He further disclosed that at present this drive is going on in different colleges as well as in higher secondary schools of Jammu City and it will continue for one more week. Nasib Ali, Mubshar, Manjeet, Raman, Sumit and Zulfi were also present on this occasion.
