| Protest against Deputy Commissioner at Ramnagar | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Sept 8: Three hundred villagers staged protest out side the tehsil office Ramnagar today. They were demanding immediate restoration of service of their village Chowkidar and Numberdar whose services were terminated by the deputy Commissioner Udhampur Baseer Ahmed Khan.
As per reports, last week some people complained in the DC’s open darbar at Ramnagar that the village chowkidar and naberdar of Jandrod are not issuing their backward area certificate. On this DC Khan terminated them.
Protesting villagers alleged that the people who had complained, had migrated years back from the village Janrod to the city but to get the benefit of backward area resident they had approached to the village Chokidar and Numberdar who righty refused to issue the same.
Tehsildar sanjeev Goswami gave patient hearing to the villagers and assured them to enquire the whole matter by a committee.
