Magotra leaves for Vietnam as manager Indian team | | | Early Times Report JAMMU Sept 8: General secretary of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir, Kuldip Magotra left for Vietnam as manager of the Indian women team taking part in the 15th Asian Junior Volleyball Championship to be held at Ho Chi Minh City from September 12 to September 20. Magotra, who retired Excise & Taxation Officer (ETO), has also been assigned similar tasks by the Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) on earlier occasion, including 1986 5th Asian Junior Volleyball Championship at Bangkok and 7th Asian Senior Volleyball Men Championship at Seoul in 1989 as also SAF Games held at Kathmandu (Nepal) in 1999 and in International Volleyball popularly known as ‘Rashid Gold Cup Championship at Dubai in 2006. An awardee of State Sher-e-Kashmir medal in 1987, Magotra has a vast experience of conducting national events in the state. Magotra is also presently holding the post of Treasurer of Volleyball Federation of India. Meanwhile, the Volleyball Association of J&K complimented Magotra for the feat.
