Students of KC public school celebrate papa's day | | | Jammu, Sept 9: A 'Papa's Day Out' was celebrated in the Junior Wing of KC Public school with enthusiasm here today. To add a touch of colour to the occasion, some ornate displays from the life of Lord Krishna were also put on view in the assembly area. They consisted of the enactment of Krishna as the stealer of butter, complaints made by his female playmates to his mother Yashoda, the everlasting friendship between Lord Krishna and his impoverished childhood friend Sudhama and the exhibition of his cosmic Viraat Roop in the Bhagvada Gita. The children of classes III, IV and V also dazzled the visiting parents with their vibrant dandia dancing. It was obvious that parents were spell-bound by their children's performance. As the grand finale to the show, the students of Taekwondo formed a human pyramid to split open a curd-filled earthen pitcher hung high in the middle of the school quadrangle. Poonch House was adjudged to be the best display from Lord Krishan's life. In 'Papa's Day Out' activity, parents vied with each other in the art of kite flying amid cheers and screams from the children egging them on. The programme was attended by the Chairman Sudershan Majajan, Director, Arti Choudhary, Principal, Dr. R.D. Thakur and other distinguished guests. |
