| Sangram to undergo Narco test | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 9: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu AK Shan today in the application filed by Incharge SIT, directed Supt District Jail Jammu to handover the custody of accused Sangram Singh alleged Kingpin of Pradhi Gang involved in much publicized murder of RB Chopra Family to Special Investigation Team for conducting Narco Test.
SP City South Incharge Special Investigation team constituted for the investigation of much publicized brutal murder of Cement Tycoon Raju Chopra his wife Madhu Chopra, daughter Solani Chopra, his driver and house service on September 18, 2006, has present this application through Chief Prosecuting officer Mr. Pawan Khajuria for handing over the custody of Sangram Singh from District Jail where he is lodged in judicial custody, for taking him to Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratory, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat for his Narco Analysis Test. In this regard he made reference to an order already passed by this court on August 16, 2010 when the right of the investigation Agency to shift the accused to Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat was reserved.
The court observed that Consent of the accused Sangram Singh has already been obtained before the Court of CJM Jammu for his Narco Test etc. Earlier Investigating Officer wanted to shift the accused Sangram Singh to FSL. Gandhi Nagar, Gujrat for test, but for non-availability of any date he could not do so. As such right of investigating agency to shift accused to Gujarat was reserved.
Incharge SIT Rajeshwar Singh is present and submitted that September 13, 2010 is the date which has been conveyed for Narco Test of the Sangram Singh .He has also made reference of information received from Director, FSL Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat.
Court further observed that this court had reserved the right of investigating agency subject to the availability of the date to take the accused to FSL Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat .As the date for the Narco Test of the accused has been received, Superintendent District Jail Jammu is directed to hand-over the custody of the accused Sangram Singh to Special Investigation Team, who shall bring him back immediately after the tests are conducted. ---- JNF |
