Kashmiri youth held while trying to exfiltrate | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT POONCH, Sept 09: A Kashmiri youth was today apprehended by security forces from near the Line of Control (LoC) in Loran sub-sector of Poonch, foiling an attempt by him to exfiltrate to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).He was identified as Gulzar Ahmad, son of Ghulam Ahmad of Pulwama, Kashmir. There were three more youth with him, but all of them disappeared after they were sighted by an army patrol, police sources said. Sources said army troops were patrolling along the LoC when they noticed four youth moving under suspicious circumstances close to their forward Sher Shakti post in Shahpur area of Kerni, Loran, in the morning. While Gulzar was apprehended, the other three managed to make good their escape, the sources added. During interrogation, Gulzar told army that they were going to PoK to receive arms training in a militant training camp there. Sources said though troops searched for the three escaped youth in the Shahpur forests, they could not find any clue to their whereabouts. The possibility of their having crossed over to PoK was also not ruled out, the sources added.Sources said Gulzar had also told his interrogators the names and addresses of the three escaped youth.
